Frequently Asked Questions at Hot Vessel
Where are you located?
1069 Bergen Street
What should I bring?
We provide complimentary towels. We encourage students to bring their own mats since we’re a small community space, but if you need one, mats are available to rent for $5.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable, and sweat-wicking workout clothes. Many students opt for leggings or shorts with a fitted top or sports bra. Avoid heavy fabrics, as classes are heated and you will sweat.
Do you provide water?
Yes — we offer filtered water free of charge. You’re welcome to bring your own reusable bottle.
Do you have showers?
Unfortunately, we do not have showers, but we do offer refreshing cold towels after class.
Do you have bathrooms and changing rooms?
Yes — we have 2 bathrooms and 2 changing rooms available for student use.
How hot is the studio?
Our heated classes are kept between 90-100°F.
Do I need prior yoga or Pilates experience?
No — all levels are welcome. Our teachers offer modifications for beginners and options to challenge experienced students.
Do you offer beginner-friendly classes?
No but we recommend starting at either restorative, slow flow or yin to get your body used to the heat.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your first class to check in, get set up, and acclimate to the heat. Doors are locked once class begins.
What if I’m late?
For safety and to maintain the environment, late entry is not permitted once class has started.
Can I practice if I’m pregnant?
If you have an established practice and your doctor has cleared you, you may attend — but please inform the teacher before class so we can provide modifications.
